So we finally got word from my daughter’s school:
- The week of May 11th will be dedicated to
disinfecting the school
- The school will start classes May 18th or May
19th
- 5 to 10 students per day, per class
- Every student has their own space and will have no contact
with other students
- All adults wear masks.
Students do not as is considered a choking hazard
- Parents are not allowed to enter the school. The teacher
will meet the student in the mornings in the entrance and drop them off at the
exit at the end of the day
- Each child will have an allotted time to come to school
and leave school to avoid parents waiting outside the school together
- Attendance is voluntary
- The child’s temperature must be taken before they enter
the school. If it is superior to 37.8
degrees Celsius the child must stay at home.
As my brain worked to considered whether or not I would send
my daughter I came across the last part:
This re-opening is only for children of people who work in
health care, schools, day care, child protection, fireman, and policemen.
So yeah. Not us.
