So as part of a use or lose policy I’m off work till the end of the month.  Where are you off to ask my collegues this time for real.  I guess we could go somewhere as long as it’s not more than 100 kilometers away.

So how do you, or rather, the person who enforces the rule, calculate 100 kilometer limit?  Apparently it’s a straight line test.  Here is our limit:

Notice how Rouen is just outside our reach. What’s depressing is so are the beaches. 

One also wonders how/if they would check.  So far we’ve never been checked.  But you know who has?  My husband’s grandparents when they took a stroll in their car just to get out. I guess if you’re going to fine an eighty year old couple for being alone in their car, five miles from their home, 135 euros each, you will fine anyone.
