day 38

So I still see planes flying above where I live despite talks of closing borders and all that.  I also notice the planes seem to be flying a lower.  My husband said they’re probably flying to Le Bourget, the private airport, and not Charles de Gaulle.

Ah the rich.  I also saw an article called “Billionaries' compound with its own coronavirus testing center strokes anger on the French Riviera” in the Washington Post:

Then out of curiosity I wondered if Air France was still flying to NYC and they are.  I can get a flight today for a mere 314 euros!

Thinking perhaps the low cost reflects low demand since people aren’t supposed to be traveling so I quickly checked to see how much it would cost to fly first class:

Two seats left at 5,784 euros a pop?

Ok so still out of my reach.  I’m pretty sure though with the heavy restrictions and the fact that a lot of people today if they had 314 euros would choose things like food rather than to go to COVID-19 infested areas like NYC, the economy section would be rather empty.  I’d even wager I’d have the economy section all to myself!  Not like those losers in first class that have to share (two seats left!).

Take that Chairman Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault.
