So it’s hard to gauge what’s happening locally in terms of the Coronavirus because all the news we get is about France in general and at best Ile de France.   In some ways it’s hard to imagine there’s even anything wrong when you go outside.  Everyone seems to be living their lives normally.  People checking their smartphones, children playing.  

Today I received the following statistics from the suburb where I live:

In March and April of this year there were 67 deaths.  In 2019 there were 12.

Can’t say all the deaths are due to the Coronavirus but then again how do you explain the 458% increase?
