day 45

So I got an email from work about who would be interested in returning to the office with vague details of hand sanitizers and masks.

I asked a coworker who lives alone with no kids if he was interested.  He was except he wanted to know about lunch since all restaurants remain closed.  I hadn’t thought about that point.  I suggested he bring his lunch but he didn’t seem keen.

When he asked me the question in return I replied, as usual, that it depended on my kids.  Still no details about how they plan to re-open day care “with max 10 children in each group” or schools with “15 pupils in each school class”.

Wait and see.

day 44

So I finally read the article Hammer and Dance on medium:

The line is R the transmission rate.

Today the prime minister revealed the dance for May 11th:

-No permission slip needed - as long as you are less than 100km from home
-France to carry out 700,000 tests a week after May 11th
-Those who test positive must be isolated for 14 days either at home or in special accommodation
   - Masks will be made compulsory in some sectors, for example on the metro and in secondary schools
   - Everyone working from home should continue to do so
   - Crèches to reopen, but with max 10 children in each group
   - Maximum 15 pupils in each school class
   - Shops to reopen
   - Bars, restaurants, cinemas and beaches remain closed
   - Public gatherings of up to 10 people allowed
   - No religious ceremonies before June
   - BUT, rules may vary between départements
   - French football, rugby seasons cannot resume till September

This is the general plan.  Now we wait for the details.
