dance 2 day 26

So here’s an article about when things will go back to “normal” as predicted by experts.  Here’s the gist ordered by most optimistic to least.

"more like normal by April 2021"

"second half of the year"

"late this year"

"December 2021"

"feel more normal by sometime this summer, but I think it will be 2022"

“In 2022.”

"I am concerned things for much of 2021 will feel more like 2020 than 2019.”

"We will not go back to a pre-covid-19 normal."

These are American experts and are basing their predictions on the “disappointing slow pace of vaccination” in the US.   In the article it says “half a million Americans are now getting a coronavirus vaccine shot every day”.

So if I divide the 45,000 people that were vaccinated in 12 days in France that makes 3750 people a day in France.

If you consider 60% needed for herd immunity of a France population of 67 million you need to vaccination 40,2 million people.  Divide that by the 3750 people per day they’re able to vaccinate and that’s 10,702 days you’ll need or 29,36 years?  Can that be right?

Ridiculous you say?

I agree because there’s no way they’re going to find 40,2 million French people willing to be vaccinated.
