So my daughter went to school today after a more than three month break. That's longer than summer holidays. As my husband put it, feels strange to prepare what felt like back to school two weeks before summer vacation.
I saw my daughter in the morning and she protested but not enough to make me suspect she was ok with going back. Another sign? She watched Tchoupi at School episodes all weekend.
I saw her again when she got home. She ran straight to the t.v. ignoring me and her brother and giving one word replies to any questions posed. All in all she seemed indifferent.
That evening after making her brother laugh with magic tricks she came to see me with a giant roll of paper in her hand. She had brought back with her drawings and art projects she had done during the school year. One by one she showed them to me and I got glimpses of life through the eyes and artistic interpretations of a five year old.
