dance day 106
So vacationing when you know covid is still around is interesting. Our golden rules in addition to the standard “gestes barrières” were to avoid crowds, stay outdoors as much as possible, and wear masks.
I don’t like to wear masks. I didn’t like them in Japan where wearing them when you are sick was the thing even before covid and I can’t wait to take it off once I step off the metro after having worn it during my hour long commute. Unforch amist second wave fears everyone started wearing masks the minute they stepped outside of their house.
Wearing a mask outside in the hot sun and during a heatwave is def not my idea of a relaxing vacation but whatcha gonna do. I guess I can wear my face mask tan line as a proud badge of honor from my summer vacations kind of like how people come back from their ski vacations with their ski goggle tan line.

Dance day 104
So our last week of vacation was in an apartment in intra-mur Saint Malo. I love Saint Malo especially intra-mur with amazing architecture, shops, and restaurants. It’s like a mini-Paris but more English and with a beach.
We def had some surprises like the seagull that appeared every time I went to the kitchen and stared at me expectantly. When I didn’t feed it, it would stay there and stare and eventually yell at me.
Then there was the police officer than came by to tape off the section of the beach three yards from where my kids flying their kite due to a mine sweeping operation.
Last but not least a very unpleasant visit from our downstairs neighbor due the noise my kids were making. Best quote “I already had my kids so I don’t give a f*ck about other people’s kids".
Yup, just like Paris but more English and with a b*tch.
